freeze dry versus superpails..
 

I think we need both. Still I keep getting this sense mobility needs to be kept in mind.. Just a thought as to how much stuff you have and how fast you can get packed up and out of the house..

Freeze dried is light and convenient, but not energy dense. Its a lot of air too. You basically get what you carry, and in the case of FD you get mostly air. Two #10 cans of wheat contains more food then a whole case of mountain house. FD is great for convenience, but when space is an issue FD looses IMO.
